The college student has always rhown hiH ability to suggest new schemes to benefit both himself and his fellow man. An example of this is shown in the. new- Jackson Lawn mowing agency recently established here by several ambitious students of Mill- saps college.

These boys are working I their way through school and in order to obtain work for the summer have decided to keen the lawns of Jackson in goool shape. They realize that the average housewife is continually bothered throughout the summer month with the problem of keeping her lawn in good condition. Their contract to mow her lawn for a certain reasonable price and then without further bother on her part see that the lawn is properly looked after. Such a plan as this should prove very beneficial both to the students I and to the housewives of Jackson. Klsewhcrc in this issue is an advertisement of theirs telling in detail their plan.

The Hist shipment of ripe tomatoes has been made from Crystal Springs, the largest ton ato growing point in the United States, it will be at leas' a week, however, before the general crop commencos to mature at that plaen, and shipments become general. A majority of the Crystal Springs growers, having in nind the disastrous experience; of last year, have adopted a safo and sane marketing system, and will not ship any green wrapped stock this year. It is feared that if last 5 ear's plan is followed the market will he again delusel with immature stock, and the bottom will fall out of prices.

The growers also bear in mind that the tomato movement out of Florida will bo heavy during the next two weeks, and that it would be folly to put green wrapped stock on the market in competition with tomatoes from that state. They believe, in other words, that it is bitter to have green stock hanging- on the vines than sweltering in cars on sidetracks at northern market points. The growers believe that they are suing to have a profitable season of good judgment is shown in marketing and the yield will be fully up to expectations. They do not fear competition with Texas points this year, as conditions in that state are similar to those in Mississippi. Does Your Iqu'n Need Mowing? Our plan is this.

A phone message brings our representative to your idoor. He contracts for the work at a satisfactory price and your trouble is over.
