A GREAT LOSS. The Uurningof It N. Miller's ltcsidence at Ilazlehurst. The State is indebted to Mr. Charles Elliott for the particulars of the burning of the handsome residence of Hon.

R. N. Miller, at Hazlehiirst, this morning. Mr. and Mrs.

Miller reached their home, from Jackson, about three o'clock this morning. The weather being cold, they had a large lire made and retired. The house had been recently repaired and refurnished throughout, and was one of the tinest in the Siate.

Loss between $10,000 and insurance $5,500. AT THE OPERA HOUSE. The next opera house attraction is Hettie Bernard Chase in "1'iicle's Dar ling," two nights and niattinee, Friday," and Saturday. On the 2Sth, Miss Vernona Jarbeau, in "Starlight" will fill the hoards at Robinson's opera house.

She has sung and danced her way into favor all ovei the world. "Starlight" is a pronounced farce comedy with the familiar tough and tumble Irishman, plain old Dutchman and bevy of pretty girls. RAILROAD MAGNATES. Messrs. J.

"Pecks liad Boy" drew an average attendance to Robinson's Opera House last night.

It was painfully funny, keeping the audience in uproarous laughter for two solid hours. The play consists of the introduction of a series of the bad lniy's pranks and jokes on his pa and Mr. Shultz, the Dutch grocery man. Several racy little songs and some good dances were given which serve to break the monotonous Uughs thus giving spice ami variety to the fun. Individually the bad boy is one of the poorest juvenile "sticks" ever seen in I And Grand Saturday Matinee, ISTov.
